Day 25

Tonight we are in Bend, Texas? The whole town consisted of a couple churches and a storeIf you zoom in you will see this is "Bad Bob's Bend Store". Hmmm, I wonder which Bob🤔

The day started slow, which is not uncommon when you have nowhere to be. We headed out for Taylor, Texas. When Bob use to travel to Round Rock for his job he would go to Taylor to eat at Louie Mueller Barbecue. It was every bit as good as he remembered. I am convinced the atmosphere has a lot to do with the experience.

Taking farm roads to our destination we saw field after field of brown corn with ears still on them. Now you would think that traveling with Don Bauman around North Dakota I would have realized how they harvest field corn... well, once the kernels of corn are "completely" dry on the cob on the stock it is harvested. That way none of the juice of the kernel will be lost. It is used for corn syrup, corn starch, ethanol and so on. In Texas you drive a long way to get anywhere. It's pretty but hot and humid. I might have mentioned that by now.

We are staying at Sulfur Springs Camp. It is definitely off the beaten path. So much so I think I saw Bob scratching his head wonder how we will get back UP the hill we came down. No problem, he and Wilber will make it. 🙄 It's really not a big hill or steep but it is very bumpy...This is a fishing camp that is on the Colorado River.. fishing you say, for catfish. There is a sulphur springs, of course, hence the name. It did not smell to bad and the camp is quite picturesque The road in was even picturesque Oh there was a warning ⚠️ sign that said "Open Range - Go SLOW". Can't forget we saw our first wild armadillo

We lost all service somewhere along the cow trail so this will be posted in the morning.
