Day 16

Another day in the travels of Wilbur.... we left camp this morning, Bob set the cruise control and wouldn't you know... we went down to Georgia. You sure know you are not in Portland, OR. After seeing many of these signs

Of course we had to stop, not sure if we needed drugs or ammo but it was a legitimate pharmacy, a much smaller version of Redmond Fred Meyer. (And notice the patching on the road. That started at the state line.)

Headed back to Tennessee, stopped at a garden stand at the state line and picked up some fresh produce. I really wanted okra but didn't want to deal with cooking it. Got back to Tennessee and had to stop for groceries Edit

Really did need bread and ice cream but I couldn't resist the "piggly wiggly", I used to shop there with my mom!  Needed bread for fresh tomato sandwiches

And they were good. I miss all of you that I used to eat them with😒.  A LOT of driving today.  There are no main freeways going from where we were to Nashville so of course we had to take secondary roads... oh my. It was scenic, but with major narrow and twisty roads.  Did I mention the switchbacks?  And for every up hill stretch there was a matching down hill run. There was also a beautiful valley at the bottom with a little town.

We decided to spend the night in a RV park off the beaten pathπŸ™‚. A gravel road in but no worries Kyle, it's as dry as a bone!  There is no highway noise but lots of camping rigs.  Not sure if all of them are occupied though. The temperature has been in the 80's today, and the pool felt great!
